Today we worked on clarification of wikis and blogs. We are using two different wiki services: wikispaces.com and pbwiki.com. My wikis are dpurdy.wikispaces.com and deborahpurdy.pbwiki.com. At the moment, my pbwiki has more information and more pages. To learn wikis, we are just diving in and making them. I think that is the best way to learn, and we will remember all of the information better by doing rather than thinking about doing. We are having a good time experimenting.

Today we learned about webquests and how they are useful in class. They seem helpful in a wide range of subject areas. We evaluated one dealing with forensics and crime scenes.

The beginning of my technical development...

I've learned about new websites and tools over the past week including delicious.com, Google docs, blogging, and wikis. I know in the future all of them will be helpful while doing projects and keeping organized. I look forward to experimenting with these different new tools.
Prior to this class, I have used social networking tools such as Facebook and Instant Messenger. Now I am adding to my repertoire of technological tools.
